Course Description

This course features an internationally renowned faculty of researchers, scientists and clinicians who will present on advances in neuroimaging techniques to understand the pathophysiology of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and related movement disorders, to diagnose parkinsonian syndromes and monitor disease progression.

During two exciting days, the course will cover different imaging techniques such as: positron emission tomography (PET), single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and transcranial sonography.

Young investigators will be invited to submit abstracts for a poster presentation, where they will be asked to indicate whether they want to be considered for oral presentation. The abstracts will be forwarded to the Scientific Advisory Board which will select the two abstracts with the most scientific interest with respect to the conference themes. The main author of each selected abstract will be invited to give a brief oral presentation, as reflected in the course program. Please note that abstracts submitted should not be submitted for publication. Deadline is April 17, 2017 and notification is the first two weeks of May 2017.
