Become a CAN member to be part of our public database of neuroscience and mental health researchers across Alberta and Canada.
The purpose of membership in Campus Alberta Neuroscience (CAN) is to contribute to and receive the benefits from the work of CAN in achieving its goals. The primary goal is to increase the impact of Alberta neuroscience and mental health research, education, and translation.

Eligibility
To be eligible for a CAN membership, ensure you meet the following criteria:
- Must be affiliated with one of the Universities of Alberta, Calgary, or Lethbridge, or another relevant Alberta institution, subject to approval, including but not limited to Alberta Health Services, MacEwan University, and Mount Royal University
- Must belong to one of these categories:
- A neuroscience/mental health investigator with a current, full-time, continuing academic or clinical appointment at one of the affiliated Alberta institutions (including Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor; Adjunct will be considered)
- A neuroscience/mental health student or trainee, including undergraduates, graduates, and postdoctoral students registered full-time in a health sciences discipline at one of the affiliated Alberta institutions
- A neuroscience/mental health research staff member, under the supervision of a full-time, continuing academic investigator who holds an appointment at one of the affiliated Alberta institutions
